Volkswagen in 2024 presents an auto lineup that is as exciting as it is impressive. Approximately seven of the vehicles that Volkswagen produces have undergone many changes for the 2024 year, and these models feature all new technology and updated exterior and interior features. If you want a 2024 Volkswagen, you should check out one of the seven models and their many trim levels.

SUVs

The Tiguan, Taos, Atlas, and Atlas Sport are all getting makeovers this year. Volkswagen SUVs haven't seen many changes for a few years now, which is why these changes in these popular SUV models are such a big deal.

2024 Volkswagen Tiguan

The 2024 Tiguan has the all-new IQ.Drive on board. This is Volkswagen's new semi-autonomous suite of driving features with an automatic transmission for every Volkswagen. It includes emergency braking sensors, lane keep assist, collision detection, and automatic emergency notification if you are not conscious enough to call for help. Yet, with all the airbags and other safety features, getting into a car accident in any of Volkswagen's vehicles equipped with IQ will be difficult.Drive.

If you prefer manual transmission, you can request it in a custom build of multiple Volkswagen models. However, the IQ.Drive has not been designed to work with a manual transmission, so only one or two tech features are included in the manual transmission models.

Regarding trim levels, the Tiguan has four trim levels. Choose from the base model Tiguan S, the Tiguan SE, the Tiguan SE R-Line Black, and the Tiguan SEL R-Line. The amount of luxury features in the base model alone is incredible, which means that the SEL R-Line model is jaw-dropping.

2024 Volkswagen Taos

This smaller SUV has a unique AWD system that Volkswagen designs. Referred to as the 4Motion AWD, drivers, and passengers won't feel any difference in how the vehicle handles, but it does make a big difference in how the vehicle's traction and safer handling across all ground surfaces work. The power is continuously delivered to all four wheels, but when one or more tires aren't gripping as they should, wheel sensors shift power to that wheel to keep the AWD in balance.

The TSI 7-speed DSG refers to the Volkswagen-designed engine that is much more efficient in conserving fuel and reducing emissions than other vehicles. The technology has been revised but is now quite effective at what it claims to do. Many consumers concerned about the environment choose to own and drive the Taos because of this technology. The 2024 Taos also contains the IQ.Drive suite.

The Taos comes in three trim levels. The Taos S, Taos SE, and Taos SEL, from base model to premium model, are available in select numbers at Volkswagen dealerships.

2024 Volkswagen Atlas

This full-sized SUV has been a staple of the Volkswagen lineup for a few years now. The big difference this year is that the Atlas is getting a luxury makeover to make it look more upper-class for Ocala, FL and Orlando, FL drivers. The leatherette dashboard alone is something to see. If you're in awe of the interior and size of this SUV, you'll be blown away by the IQ.Drive suite, power-adjustable front seats with memory for each driver and front passenger, and standard tech features with certain trim level models.

If the Atlas is what you want, it comes in six trim levels. From the base model to the fully loaded Atlas, you can purchase the Atlas SE, Atlas SE with Tech, Atlas Peak Edition SE with Tech, Atlas SEL, Atlas Peak Edition SEL, and Atlas SEL Premium R-Line.

2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport

Slightly smaller than the Atlas, but with all the body styling of the larger SUV, the Atlas Cross Sport has many of the same features. The slightly smaller size of the Cross Sport is not diminished in any way because it is meant to move faster and carry more cargo for the types of owners looking for more outdoor adventures. It has more exterior black detailing and a lower, sloped hatchback.

As with the other 2024 Volkswagen SUVs, the Cross Sport has the IQ.Drive suite for safer driving through better technology. It is standard on almost all 2024 Volkswagen SUVs except for the electric ID.4 vehicles, as the ID.4 will not have updates in 2024. The base model of the Atlas Cross Sport is the SE, with four additional trim levels. Those trim levels include the Atlas Cross Sport SE with Tech, Atlas Cross Sport SEL, Atlas Cross Sport SEL R-Line, and the Atlas Cross Sport SEL Premium R-Line.

Sedans

2024 Volkswagen Jetta

Classified as a mid-size sedan, the Jetta makes an excellent family car. The Jetta S, Jetta Sport, Jetta SE, and Jetta SEL are all equipped this year with the IQ.Drive suite, app-connect, VW Connect for safety, blind spot mirrors and sensors, etc. A lot is packed into this nice little sedan, and if you get the SEL, you also get a power moon roof and extras that make it seem like you're driving a luxury car.

2024 Volkswagen Jetta GLI

You might wonder what the "GLI" designation on a Jetta means. It's not a trim level, as this vehicle has its own trim levels separate from the regular Jetta. GLI is the designation Volkswagen reserves for its vehicles that contain a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 228 HP and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. In short, the Jetta gets a supercharge from the GLI engine and turns it into a powerful sports car capable of racing at top speeds, if desired. The engine is manual, but you can request a 7-speed automatic engine as a substitute for the manual engine.

The 2024 Volkswagen Jetta GLI only comes in two trim levels-- the base model and the 40th anniversary edition. The 40th anniversary edition has some very nice extras worth investigating.

2024 Volkswagen Compact Cars

Volkswagen only makes two compact cars. These are the smallest vehicles Volkswagen produces but run on gas very efficiently. The 2024 versions of the Golf R and Golf GTI both come with the IQ.Drive suite as standard. The GTI utilizes the same engine as the Jetta GLI, making it both a manual and turbocharged engine in a smaller car.

The 2024 Golf R comes equipped with the 4Motion AWD, torque vectoring, and driving mode selection so that you can choose which surface the vehicle is traveling over, and the car's internal driving system works to match your selection. There is only one trim level of the Golf R, but six trim levels of the Golf GTI.
